Insomniac Kiosks and Storable Easy

Storable Easy

Insomniac Kiosks communicate with your Storable Easy software through an API. The API is open, which means the Kiosk can do anything our software can, but only if Insomniac programmed it to have those features on their end.

The communication between the Kiosk and Storable Easy should be a 2-way street: if something happens in your software, the Kiosk is updated to reflect it, and vice versa. The exception to that rule is photos: tenant or driver license photos in the Kiosk aren't automatically uploaded to Storable Easy.


To Avoid Errors:

1. Unit Types MUST have a name.

2. All customer names need to be uniform in format: First, Last name or Last, First name.

3. Enter gate codes in your Storable Easy software. If you enter the gate codes in Insomniac and someone rents a unit, the gate codes are not sent to the Storable Easy software. However, if you enter the gate codes in the Storable Easy software and someone rents a unit at the kiosk, the code will transfer from Storable Easy to the kiosk and be given to the customer.

4. Submitting cash payments: If your customer is submitting a cash payment through an insomniac kiosk, keep in mind that this cash payment will not be added to a particular check batch in the Storable Easy software. You will need to keep a separate record of payments submitted through the kiosk for your deposits if you track them in the check batches.
