Setting up the Doorking Integration
1. Log in to Storable Easy and install the Gate Sync Program.
2. In the settings box that pops up, input your facility code in the top section. The facility code can be found in the Storable Easy software under "API Key" (click on the key in order to copy it). Don't close the Gate Sync screen yet.
3. Next, open your computer file folder and go to the C drive. Your C drive might be called Local or something else. Just look for something that says (C:). Right-click and create a new folder called "DKS".
4. In your DoorKing program, find the name Program Account Name. Put it in the Storable Easy software and also in the ESS Gate Sync Window (as C:\DKS\Account Name.csv). It is very important that you type the name with capital letters and spaces exactly as it appears in DoorKing. *If you ever change your account name in Doorking going forward, new codes won't work because the connection between our software and Doorking will break.

5. Open up Word or Notepad and type what is shown below. It must match 100% with spaces and capitalization. The only difference will be that where it says doorkingaccountname, you will type your own DoorKing Account Name. Copy and paste: start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\DoorKing\DoorKing Account Manager\DoorKing32.exe" C:\DKS\doorkingaccountname.csv /A

6. Click File > Save as > Save it in the DKS folder you made as run.bat. (Your C Drive might be called Local and something else. What matters is that you are in the DKS folder you created.) You can then close the document.
7. Go back to the ESS gate sync settings and save the post download action as C:\DKS\run.bat If my DoorKing account name was Example, this is what the ESS gate sync settings would look like.
8. To test to see if it works, wait a couple min to see if DoorKing automatically updates. You can also check in the ESS gate page under Show Details. If it shows DoorKing checking for change every 5 minutes, you know it is working.
Basic Troubleshooting
1. You can't have any duplicate gate codes, even if they belong to the same customer. Doorking treats every unit as though it belongs to a different customer, so even if one customer has two units, it will consider them two different customers, and they will need unique codes.
2. You can't have duplicate unit numbers.
3. Leave the Directory Code blank or no more than 3 digits.
4. Gate codes can be 4 or 5 digits. If they are 4 digits, you have to add a leading zero when entering on the keypad.
5. Gate Codes cannot be over 65405.
6. Keep the Doorking program closed once the integration is done. If it is open, the run.bat file will not run.
7. Once the run.bat file is run, you can see if it worked by checking in the DKS folder on the C Drive. It will produce either and IMPPASS file or an IMPFAIL file.

If you get an IMPFAIL, then you will need to check the event logs in Doorking by going to File > View Log Files > View events.log.

This will open a text file, and you will want to search for the term "invalid". Warnings are Ok.

Any Errors that say invalid need to be fixed. This will usually be due to duplicate gate codes, duplicate units, invalid gate codes, etc. The log will tell you which line in the CSV file the error is coming from, so you'll just have to look in the CSV file and see what the problem is, and fix it in Storable Easy.
8. If you're getting a IMPPASS, you should ideally get a SNDPASS file in the DKS folder shortly after. Generally not longer than 5 minutes.
If you get a SNDFAIL, then there is an issue with the computer that is running the Doorking Software communicating with the Gate Controller.

Ultimately, the best course of action is to reach out to Doorking Technical Support for further assistance, because as long as you are receiving an IMPPASS error, the Storable Easy portion of the integration is working as it should. However, there are some basic troubleshooting steps we can take to better understand what is going on.
A good first step would be to power-cycle the gate controller on-site. The method for doing this varies by model, so it is best to refer to the manual that came with the Doorking software.
You can attempt to manually send the data to the controller by clicking the "Snd Data" button in Doorking.

If it fails, you will be able to gather some information on why it is failing. This will be some good information to provide to the Doorking Support Representative.

Advanced Troubleshooting
Reasons why "send data" might have failed:
You have not paid to have a DKS server account active and live
You have downloaded the Doorking 32 software license to 2 different PC's
4.5 framework: Your computer may need to be on the Microsoft .net 4.5 framework if you are having problems with your ESS gate sync software
Duplicate communication: Communication from other external software programs (previous management systems) needs to be halted for the ESS gate sync post-download action to work.
Errors: If you see that there are errors in the import, check File>Logs>Event log to see what the error messages are. Remember, the import and the sending of data to the controller will not happen if there are errors during import
If import works but the send file doesn't appear: DoorKing Version 6.3g had bugs that caused multiple data import errors. You will want to upgrade to DoorKing Version 6.3i.
ENT Column: The integration was built to use the Device Column because storage facilities use it. The 1838 keypad was built for apartments and is the only device that uses the Entry # column.
Stopped syncing: If the DKS sync works, you will get two status windows that pop up, like an activity status window and a session status window. Doorking might not sync them automatically next time unless you click to "close" these two windows. To prevent these windows from showing, you need to rewrite the batch file so it does not include the command switch "/M". This ensures that Doorking will not remain running, whether it is successful or not. The other status window is a "backup" prompt. Click the "Do not backup" and check "Do this every time without asking".
Area codes: If you get an error that says, "can only have up to 10 Alternate Area Codes", then you have too many area codes connected to phone numbers, and you'll either need to delete some of the main phone numbers. or. click here... add more area codes to DKS.
Security level error: Check the setting in Storable Easy under the "Gate" sub-tab. If the security level is set to 1, change it to 01.
Telephone Number Format Update March 2019 /Event Log Errors: If you have any special characters in your phone number (ex: +, = , #, etc), these will cause an error.
Model Incompatibility: Our software cannot sync with Doorking if you are running Model 1834 - 80 Series Entry System. This model does not have a Security Level Option and will now accept the CSV file we produce.
