If you use Storable Payments, you have the option to add a surcharge fee to credit card payments. Surcharging allows you to charge tenants a percentage-based fee on the total transaction amount when processing electronic payments, thereby offsetting costs associated with payment processing and credit card fees.

Enable Surcharging in your software
1. To enable Surcharging in Easy, hover over Setup and click Payment Processing. |
2. Select the checkbox next to Enable credit card surcharging to automatically apply the fee to both manager and online move-ins.
3. Enter the percentage you wish to charge in the Amount field. By default, this value will be set as the flat-rate fee you’re being charged for credit card processing, or 3%, whichever is lower.
4. Click Update Settings.
