If you have enabled online move-ins, your customers can rent a storage unit directly on your website using a credit card, debit card, or ACH (bank account).
1. On your website home page, the customer will click the Rent Storage or Rent a Unit (this button may be different on your site).
2. They will see your available unit types and click Rent Now on the one they want.
3. Depending on your settings, the customer can either pick a specific unit number or the software will pick one for them. They then click Rent Now again to start the checkout.
4. The customer fills in their personal information (name, phone, address) and creates a username and password. If you offer Tenant Protection Plans, they can choose one during this step or the next.
5. Next, the customer enters their billing and payment details. They will see a price summary on the right side of the screen. This clearly shows any discounts or promotions, so they know exactly what they are paying.
6. The customer reviews their rental agreement and signs it digitally. Once they reach this step, they cannot change their unit type or protection plan. This ensures the lease matches the exact price they are paying.
7. Finally, the customer clicks Submit and Pay. They will see a confirmation page, and their rental is complete.
