Creating Custom Information Fields for Online Rentals

When a potential tenant decides to rent online, there are a number of "field" they are required or recommended to fill with information such as their name, address, phone number, etc. You can add extra fields to this list by following the instructions below. 

Note: This is an excellent place to ask "agreement" questions such as, "What is the license plate number of the vehicle you plan to store?"

1) Hover over the Customers tab and select Field Settings.

3) First notice how the field settings are organized. The Field Name can be a question or something simple like "Employer's Name."  You can require information fields or leave them as "show" fields which are optional. To change whether or not a field is required, click the "edit" link to the right of the line item.

4) Add new fields at the bottom of the screen. 

When the customer rents online, the new field will look like this: 
5) You as an owner or manager can access the customer's answer by clickingthe Edit Profile button on the customer's page.
The answers are listed just above the Notes section.
