If you are renting a unit to a customer for the first time and want to prorate their rent you will need to take the following steps: 1- Select the start date for the billing cycle. 2- Enter a deposit amount and check the box if you want to charge them for the deposit right now. 3- Under the words "charge setup fee" there is a drop down box. In the drop down box there are 5 options to choose from, 1- No prorating, 2- Custom prorating, 3- Prorate first month and bill full billing cycle, 4-Bill for first full month. Prorate second month billed now, and 5-Bill for first full month. Prorate second month billed later. Choose one of these 5 options depending on what prorating option you are trying to do.To double check what is happening there are instructions at the bottom that will explain what is happening.
